in recognition of the 2009 NCM Forum keynote speakers

Dr. William Kessler
Director of Executive Programs, Georgia Institute of Technology, Tennenbaum Institute,
President, Palisades Enterprises, LLC

Dr. Bill Kessler is a professor and director of executive programs for the Tennenbaum Institute at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is also the founder and president of Palisades Enterprises, a small consulting firm specializing in enterprise-level initiatives. As a crucial member of the 2009 NCM Forum planning committee, Kessler will deliver opening remarks at the start of the event and serve as moderator for the keynote presentations and panel discussion.

“The 3rd Annual NCM Forum represents a significant milestone—the first two NCM Forums focused on understanding the concept of Network Centric operations while this year’s forum explores real-world application of NCM, associated lessons and results,” commented Kessler.

Before beginning his role at Georgia Tech in November 2006, Kessler previously served as the vice president of operations for enterprise initiatives at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company where he led the implementation of lean principles across the enterprise. Kessler also served as director of manufacturing technology for the U.S. Air Force from 1987-1997 where he launched many innovative national manufacturing initiatives, such as the Lean Aerospace and Composites Affordability Initiatives.

Kessler holds a B.S. and M.S. degree in aeronautical and engineering sciences from Purdue University and a D.Sc. degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He also attended the von Karman Institute in Brussels, Belgium, the Harvard School for Government, the Federal Executive Institute and the Lockheed Martin Executive Learning Institute.
