Pratt & Whitney |
Join us as Mr. Dave Galuska, senior vice president of module centers and operations at Pratt & Whitney, delivers insight into how his organization tackles supply chain challenges in the U.S. and around the globe. Galuska is responsible for the company’s global module design, supply management, manufacturing and logistics operations, which supply jet engines and spare parts to major airlines and military customers worldwide.
He also holds responsibility for Pratt & Whitney’s Supplier Gold, an initiative that recognizes suppliers with best-in-class performance in quality, delivery and customer satisfaction. Supplier Gold and the company’s quality operating system, Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE), are fully employed throughout the value stream and integral to delivering quality products and services to customers.
“The successful integration of global value streams has been achieved by selecting the right partners, with the right capabilities, and leveraging Pratt & Whitney’s global manufacturing presence to support the development and transition of the product,” explained Galuska.
Galuska began his role as senior vice president in January 2009. He joined Pratt and Whitney from Hamilton Sundstrand where he most recently held the position of vice president of operations. Prior to that, he was the vice president of operations at Sikorsky Aircraft. Hamilton Sundstrand and Sikorsky Aircraft are both aerospace divisions of United Technologies Corporation.
With more than 30 years of aerospace experience, he has a strong background in manufacturing operations, a record of setting and achieving stretch goals and strong relationships with suppliers and customers. These attributes help him guide manufacturing at Pratt & Whitney as the company continues to transform operations into a culture that is even more customer-focused, cost-efficient and driven to deliver operational excellence.
Galuska holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Connecticut and an M.B.A. from Western New England College.
