Working Sessions
Attendees participated in four working sessions that included, Managing in the NCM Environment, NCM Architecture, Intense Collaboration and R&D for NCM. A “round robin,” in which the lead speakers of each session spent 30 minutes with each of the other groups to share their findings and to get their perspectives, allowed all attendees to interact with all of the leads.
|
| |
Working Session One
Managing in the NCM Environment was led by Eric Mittelstadt, CEO of the National Council for Advanced Manufacturing, and provided attendees with a snapshot of management-related progress and challenges based on contemporary approaches to network centric manufacturing.

They discussed the DoD’s Business Management Area (BMA) collaborative approach for creating GCM architecture and examined the ways that manufacturing organizations are affected and can participate.

Intense Collaboration was led by Robert Porter Lynch, CEO of The Warren Company and author, in which attendees discussed evidence that shows intense collaboration as an imperative for network centric manufacturing.
|
