At the 2009 NCM Forum, attendees had the opportunity to hear real-world case studies from industry leaders Lockheed Martin, Pratt & Whitney and General Motors who are overcoming distributed manufacturing challenges through Network Centric Manufacturing (NCM). Attendees learned how they’re reducing costs and time while increasing agility, collaboration and visibility across geographically-dispersed supply chains.
NCM is the rapid assembly and seamless coordination of dynamic supplier networks to accelerate production and reduce costs. Previous forums helped establish the framework for NCM. With the theme Going Network Centric Delivers Results, the 2009 NCM Forum focused on results being achieved now. On day two of the Forum, organizations from 14 diverse backgrounds presented case studies on their NCM efforts.
